Previously, she was legal and compliance director of PT Sun Life Financial Indonesia and group GC for Sun Life Financial. Formerly a partner at Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy Kardono, Indonesian Legal Consultants, Manurung is also acting head of compliance and membership at the Indonesian Life Insurance Association. She holds a law degree from Faculty of Law of University of Indonesia, a MA in International Law in Banking and Law Studies from Boston University (US), and a MA in management from the University of Ikatan Pengusaha Wiraswasta Indonesia (IPWI) Jakarta.
