Steve Stein has served as counsel for parties to international disputes and as an arbitrator under the auspices of major international arbitral organizations for over 40 years. In the past, he has counseled clients such as Citibank, Starrett, Totale, Gulf+Western, Boise Cascade, Avis, PanAm, Raytheon, P+O Steamship & Navigation, and the government for the Kingdom of Spain.

In addition to his private practice, he has a wealth of public service experience as the co-founder of the American Arbitration Association International Center for Dispute Resolution (AAA-ICDR), American Bar Association Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva and Vienna, and member of the United States delegation at the signing of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. He holds an LLB from the New York University (NYU) School of Law and a BS from Cornell University.
