Sean has significant experience in law, governance, regulation, financial services, wealth management and risk across multiple countries. Prior to joining Vanguard in early 2023, Sean served as a Commissioner at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). Sean has previously held General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Chief Risk Officer roles in corporate and financial services firms, and he was the inaugural CEO of the Financial Markets Authority in New Zealand. Sean has a keen passion for promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, as well as mental health and indigenous reconciliation initiatives in the workplace.
