Peter V. Nguyen has served as general counsel of multiple companies, primarily in the technology industry. He is also the founder of the GC Forum, a networking group whose purpose is to facilitate informal informative dialogue between law department leaders, primarily of small and midsize organizations, in Canada. Nguyen is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto and McGill University. He has been recognized by his peers in Canada and abroad for leadership and innovation in the legal profession including being the recipient of Precedent Magazine’s Innovation Award (2020), Canadian Lawyer Magazine Top 25 Most Influential (2019), ACC/ILO Global Counsel Awards - Compliance Innovator of the Year (2019), LEXPERT Magazine Zenith Award - Change Agent in Law (2019), Legal 500 GC Powerlist: Canada Teams (2019), Financial Times - Innovative Lawyers North America Awards "Highly Commended" (2018), Legal 500 GC Powerlist: Canada (2016) and ACC/ILO Global Counsel Awards - General Commercial (2016).
