He provides interim general counsel services to dozens of startups in a variety of sectors, from founding teams to Series C companies. Forest was previously the head of legal at LendingHome Corporation, which in two years he helped grow from a handful of employees to nearly 300, over US$1 billion lent, and over US$100 million of venture capital raised. Before LendingHome, Forest was a commercial and appellate litigator at the law firm of Reed Smith LLP in San Francisco. He has also taught legal research and writing as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University Law School. Forest holds a JD from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
