Sarah Reed is the general counsel at RA Capital Management, a multi-stage life sciences investment firm. Reed has worked in the investment funds industry for over two decades. She has also served as general counsel to a public medical device company, and began her legal career with Foley, Hoag, & Eliot LLP.  Reed is the only lawyer to have received the National Venture Capital Association's Outstanding Service Award, for her leadership role in conceiving of and spearheading the Model Legal Documents for venture capital financing transactions. Sarah teaches a course at Harvard Law School on venture capital fund formation. She holds a BA from Harvard College in East Asian Studies and a JD from Harvard Law School.
