Introducing Melanie Hoad, vice president, head of legal, risk, and compliance at CNA Canada, a property and casualty insurance company.

In July 2019, Hoad moved into an in-house corporate counsel role from a predominantly litigation background. She notes that joining ACC Ontario was a strategic move to expand her network of corporate counsel and leverage ACC’s educational courses and legal resources. The networking events and invaluable resources have kept Hoad renewing her membership year after year 🤝.

Hoad also loves that ACC Ontario partners with fabulous charitable organizations. Last year, she particularly enjoyed the International Day of Literacy Book Drive and Social, where she had the chance to donate pre-loved books to the Children’s Book Bank and connect with her ACC colleagues 📚.

On most weekend mornings, you’ll find Hoad strolling along Balmy Beach in Toronto with her Boston Terrier, Mac 🐶, on the hunt for “lake” glass.
