ACC Tampa Bay hosted its Annual Corporate Counsel Symposium at the Resort at Longboat Key during the weekend of August 11-13. This signature event features an opportunity for members to spend a weekend earning CLE credit, networking with colleagues and ACC Tampa Bay sponsors, and relaxing with their families. ACC Tampa Bay sponsors Ogletree Deakins, Shumaker, and FordHarrison provided timely and informative content to over 65 participants during the CLE portion of the weekend.
In addition to CLE sessions, participants, sponsors, and family members attended a welcome reception with childcare provided, a sunrise yoga class, a beach day complete with beverages and ice cream sandwiches, a dinner reception, and a getaway breakfast buffet. For 2023, the Chapter also added a donation drive to benefit the Hillsborough Education Foundation.
Thanks to the generosity of ACC Tampa Bay sponsors and members, we were able to donate well over 100 lbs. of needed school supplies and backpacks to the children of Hillsborough County. The Chapter’s Board also conducted a successful half-day Strategic Planning Session with the valuable partnership of ACC’s Tori Payne, vice president and chief membership officer, and Cameron Wheeler, chapter coordinator.
