The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) has announced the launch of its new Mexico chapter, a community dedicated to supporting in-house counsel across the country. This new chapter aims to provide members with opportunities to enhance their legal and leadership skills, while fostering collaboration through both in-person and virtual events.
Veta T. Richardson, ACC president and CEO, emphasized the importance of this new chapter in addressing the unique challenges faced by in-house professionals in Mexico, such as navigating judicial reforms, corporate governance, cybersecurity, and labor laws. “We’re excited to create a strong, vibrant community where in-house counsel in Mexico can connect with their peers globally and demonstrate their strategic role in business,” Richardson said.
A dedicated space for Mexican professionals
Elena Robles, legal and government relations director at Estafeta Mexicana, will serve as the president of the ACC Mexico Chapter. Under her leadership, the chapter will focus on hosting in-person events in key cities like Ciudad Juarez, Mexico City, and Monterrey, while continuing to offer virtual programming for a broader reach. Robles shared, “Our goal is to create a dedicated space for in-house counsel to share experiences, connect, and learn from each other, focusing on the unique needs of Mexican professionals.”
The ACC Mexico Chapter is poised to play a pivotal role in empowering Mexico’s corporate lawyers, promoting collaboration, and reinforcing the value of in-house counsel as key business strategists.
